2020 BSA Troop 93 Membership Fees/Dues

It is time to Recharter/Re-Register Troop 93 for another year. Mr. Chris Martin and Ms. Melissa Sciera (aka Melissa Stocki) are working together to complete this process for our Troop by the deadline of November 30, 2019, as set by Council. Re-Registering this year consists of three actions:

  1. Collecting Dues.
  2. Verifying Adult Training is up-to-date.
  3. Completing the Additional Disclosures and Background Check Authorization Form.

Dues

The dues for Troop 93 next year will be as follows:

  • Scout: $112
  • Additional Scout from same family: $100
  • Registered Adult: $42

Please note that BSA National has increased dues, which is reflected in the above.

Kindly submit your dues to Chris Martin or Melissa Sciera before November 30, 2019.

> Please make checks payable to BSA Troop 93; or you may use your child’s Scout Account (just be sure to email Chris and/or Melissa to let them know if Scout Acct is your payment choice). You may also mail a check to Chris Martin at 4878 Smiley Terr, Clarence, NY 14031.

Adult Training

All registered adults, all adults that go on campouts and attend scouting activities must have Youth Protection Training (YPT). Most of the adults in the Troop should be up-to-date by taking the revised training required by BSA last year. If you have been notified that your training is expiring, please take the time to renew as soon as possible – the Troop is unable to re-register if ANY registered adult does not have up-to-date YPT. This training can be done online at www.my.scouting.org.

If you joined the Troop within the past year and are a Committee Member, please verify that you have taken the Troop Committee Challenge training, which is an online course available at www.my.scouting.org. Once taken, you do not have to renew.

Additional Disclosures and Background Check Authorization

The Boy Scouts of America is committed first and foremost to keeping youth safe. Part of that commitment includes continually updating our youth protection policies to help ensure we are always on the forefront of youth safety.

As you know, one of the BSA’s many barriers to abuse is a mandatory criminal background check during the adult volunteer application process. The BSA will now also perform periodic rechecks of criminal backgrounds to support the continued safety of youth in our programs.

Please note that all registered adults must sign and submit the attached form to allow for 2020 re-registration to proceed. A scanned, texted or emailed signature is not allowed. BSA requires all adults to submit an original form. Please complete and submit to Mr. Chris Martin, Ms. Melissa Sciera (Stocki), Mr. Andy Heckman or Mr. Dave Wind. Or you may also mail an original directly to Mr. Chris Martin to the address noted above.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Chris Martin via email at Christopher.Martin@ghd.com.

Thank you for your assistance and we look forward to a fun and successful 2020!
